Self-healing Techniques

What is your definition of self-healing?

“It is the process of intention around addressing and improving one’s own well-being.”

There is a natural intelligence in the body that will bring our bodies back to a homeostasis. As for our mental health, it’s about aligning with our truest self - who you are beyond the veil - that helps bring the mind back into balance. Think of being your most authentic self as being effortless, easy and flowing. By default, it automatically puts you into a coherent state where healing can take place.

So what are the modalities used for self-healing? Here are a few examples…

  • meditation - benefits: quieting the mind, manage stress, feel calm

  • journaling - benefits: self-expression, writing, reflecting, reduce anxiety

  • daily gratitude practice - benefits: helps to retrain the mind onto what IS working as opposed to what isn’t

  • physical activities - benefits: helps to feel embodied, grounded, release endorphins

  • food & nutrition - benefits: mindful eating, blessing your food, nourishing the body

  • sleep hygiene - benefits: provides the body with a rested state to heal

  • healthy boundaries - benefits: able to say yes and no according to your needs, encourages respect and acknowledgment of needs

Healing hands

There are many techniques you can do where you focus on directing energy wherever it is needed in the body.

  • traditional reiki - you can use reiki to direct the flow of energy towards yourself through your hands and palm chakras.

  • angelic reiki - there is a self-healing technique that you can learn that connects you to the beautiful angels and enables you to send healing towards yourself.

  • shamanic healing - there are many ways of experiencing this for yourself, using instruments such as drumming, your voice and even journeying.

  • EFT - the emotional freedom technique can work wonders for some people, you essentially learn where to tap on the body to alleviate stress and to encourage more chi through the body.

  • visualisation techniques - can help you connect to your own energy and visualise it moving through you.

  • breathing techniques are great works to clear, release and increase your energy.

  • sound and vibration - can shift your own energy dramatically, experiencing things like a sound bath or tuning forks or just listening to solfeggio frequencies.

  • Tia chi or Qigong - are movement based practices to guide the body’s life force energy.

Connect to Source

When your energetic channels begin to open, many of the problematic symptoms you may be experiencing start to resolve themselves. The body is designed to heal itself, but when the Chi can’t flow freely, this innate self-healing mechanism is blocked. We are divine beings at our core and so returning to this state, or at least remembering that part of us, can help with our own healing . This is your spiritual origin: your Divine Home. Daily strengthening your connection with Source strengthens your energetic consciousness umbilical cord that you have with Source and can lead to profound benefits, one of which, is enabling the body to self-heal.
