So what are the heavenly bodies?

They are natural physical objects that exist in the observable universe, such as the Sun, the Moon, planets, stars, asteroids, comets, and galaxies.

Understanding the heavenly bodies

This helps us to understand the influences that each heavenly body brings and what astrologers may lean into when you explore your natal chart or when we look at different planetary alignments, conjunctions or retrogrades for example.

  • SATURN - is about responsibility, structure and discipline. It reveals our approach to challenges, limitations and long term goals.

  • URANUS - innovation and change, how we may rebel and navigate freedom, and unconventional ideas.

  • NEPTUNE - governs our spirituality, intuition and dreams. It reflects are relationship with creativity, imagination and the subconscious.

  • PLUTO - is all about transformation, power and the subconscious. How we explore the depths and mysteries to life.

There are some others to mention like black moon Lilith and the North and South nodes - all offer a fascinating lens in which to view these placements in our charts. The North and South nodes in vedic astrology are considered shadow planets that represent destiny & karma - they can highlight where we need to work on and where we are drawn to. Black Moon Lilith represents hidden or taboo aspects of our personality.
